BC3 Member Profile
Our organization has a staff member, Anne Hill (our property manager), responsible for addressing internal sustainability issues. Our Chief Engineer, Mark Mayfield, works with her on sustainability issues. They are both LEED Associate Certified. They coordinate all programs with PGE, US GBC and contractors. We require that all tenants on our buildings pursue LEED-certification. We provide training to all tenants on recycling and composting, and we monitor with the help of Recology compliance. We host USGBC trainings and programs, as well as sponsoring other green organization programs. All contractors are required to adhere to LEED standards, and we give priority to Green Certified Businesses.

Our organization engages employees around sustainability and provides them with sustainable employee benefits. We do this by holding employee education/training programs on climate change or sustainability. Our building is LEED Silver Certified. Bently Holdings, our parent company is a Certified Green Business. Environmental factors are important to our organization when selecting an office space. When doing so, we lease office space to other companies, and require they pursue LEED certification.

Our organization also engages employees on climate issues through sustainable resources/information for staff: Training on composting and recycling. Our organization has invited non-member companies to participate in BC3 events as guests. Increasing BC3's membership and network helps us develop a critical mass of businesses to fight climate change. Our organization would be willing to share our experience about our community leadership as a member of BC3. Our organization is engaged in industry advocacy, business coalitions, supply chain management or other initiatives as related to climate change. We also have worked with BOMA.
Over the past year, members of our organization have collaborated with other BC3 members by attending BC3 events.

Our organization has its own climate-related case studies that it would like to share with other members. These provide specific, concrete ideas and solutions for implementing organizational and operational changes to address climate change. They also help facilitate collaboration among BC3 members. Our organization works with other community-based organizations or non-profits on climate-related issues. Our involvement consists of volunteering for Friends of the Urban Forest.
