Carbon Inventory 101 - Mar. 12th, 2009

On March 12th, 2009, BC3 hosted an overview course for individuals that are directing or will be involved with a company's development of a carbon emissions inventory.
The presenters reviewed the basics, such as who, what, where, when and especially how to develop a baseline emissions inventory. Attendees learned about the three categories of emissions (Scope 1, stationary and mobile direct emissions; Scope 2, indirect emissions from purchased electricity, and Scope 3, indirect emissions from third parties and supply-chain partners) and which ones are most relevant for their business. The most helpful reporting tools and organizations were also discussed.
