Business Advisory Panel
to the San Francisco Climate Action Plan

The Business Advisory Panel was formed to provide business input to the San Francisco Climate Action Plan (CAP). The CAP, first written in 2004, is being revised this year (2011).  The updated plan will explore measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings, transportation, energy, solid waste, and personal consumption in San Francisco. The panel aims to solicit recommendations from Bay Area business leaders on the GHG reduction actions in the updated CAP. The 15-company Advisory Panel is composed of representatives from a diverse range of companies (full list below).

March 28 Meeting at New Resource Bank

Thank you to New Resource Bank for hosting the second CAP Advisory Panel meeting! Facilitated by Fiona Berry, Calla Ostrander presented the most recent draft of the updated climate actions. Panelists offered their insights on the feasibility of implementing the proposed actions, gave input on how to facilitate collaboration between the city and businesses to achieve the aggressive GHG reduction goals laid out by San Francisco, and shared case studies on corporate energy efficiency and transportation initiatives.

February 14 Meeting at Google

Thank you to Google for hosting our first CAP Advisory Panel meeting! Facilitated by Fiona Berry, Calla Ostrander presented San Francisco's 2004 Climate Action Plan and explained the methodology and data guiding current revisions. Panelists offered their first impressions of the CAP and are now reviewing actions under the revised CAP for discussion at the second meeting on March 28.
