Copenhagen Breakdown - Jan. 6th, 2010
Event Summary
BC3 Members joined SFE staff and interested community members for a fun, interactive lunchtime panel at the SF Public Library on the outcomes and implications of Copenhagen.
Panelists Rachel Barge (BC3 Program Manager) and Fiona Berry (BC3 Advisory Committee Member) had just returned from COP15 in Copenhagen, Denmark, and shared stories, photos, and their perspective on what they observed, and what the ramifications are for the business community and the non-profit climate movement.
Calla Ostrander, the Climate Action Coordinator for the City of San Francisco, discussed how the outcome of COP15 affects local climate action, and gave her take on "where we go from here" in the Bay Area.
The panel was moderated byDavid Pascal - David ran the highly successful Copenhagen Cafe during COP15, an interactive media hub in downtown SF that captured 24-7 information flowing from the conference and engaged local experts.
