This BC3 event was co-sponsored by Pankow Builders at PG&E's Energy Center on Howard Street in Downtown San Francisco. The seminar was on green leases in commercial real estate, and was the first installment of a series on green lease language. Industry leaders from BOMA, Navigant Consulting, and the environmental law firm Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean spoke about the basic tenets of green leasing. The panel explored fundamentals of a green lease, discussing owner and tenant- perspectives, cost implications for "greening" a lease, and how to structure negotiations between parties, addressing current and future legislation on this increasingly popular subject.
