Director |
Melissa Capria is interim director of the Business Council on Climate Change (BC3), a public-private partnership between local government and the business community that works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in San Francisco through collaboration and direct action. Melissa is a climate change policy specialist with more than 12 years experience working on developing climate protection strategies and programs. Ms. Capria sat on the BC3 Advisory Committee in her most recent position as a Senior Climate Change Analyst at SAIC. In 2005 she helped launch BC3 while serving as the Climate Action Coordinator for the San Francisco Department of the Environment.

The Advisory Committee (AC) is the acting governing body of BC3, comprised of member volunteers, and partner and co-sponsor representatives. This team is responsible for determining the overall strategy and programs offered by BC3, as well as for the hiring and management of the director.
