Partner organizations represent non-business entities, including think-tanks, academic institutions, industry associations, and nonprofits.

BC3 partners provide resources to help BC3 members reduce their emissions. For instance, an industry association may provide BC3 members an opportunity to participate in their planning meetings, or a think-tank may be looking for insight from the private sector to develop stronger policy proposals. Partners are invited to participate in all member events and are encouraged to host meetings, submit ideas to the Advisory Committee and get involved with recruitment efforts for both members and partners. For more information on partnership opportunities, please Contact us.

The Bay Area Climate Collaborative is a landmark commitment on the part of the cities of San Francisco, San Jose, and Oakland to advance ambitious targets for growing the clean energy economy and safeguarding Bay Area resources.Our vision is to enable a healthy safe and globally competitive Bay Area through collaborative action on climate change. Our coordinated efforts will be a model for regional action in California, the nation, and the world.

The Bay Area Council is a business-sponsored, public-policy advocacy organization for the nine-counties of the San Francisco Bay Area. The Council proactively advocates for a strong economy, a vital business environment, and a better quality of life for everyone who lives in the Bay Area.  The Council has over sixty years of experience working with regional businesses to help shape policy. Through the years of service, the Bay Area Council has gained the support of more than 275 of the regions largest employers.

The Bay Conservation and Development Commission is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of San Francisco Bay and to the encouragement of the Bay's responsible use.

The California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC) is a coalition of local governments and their associations related to solid waste, recycling, resource conservation, and other cross-media issues.  In partnership with NGOs, businesses, and individuals across California, CSPC has created a powerful network of people supporting product stewardship and extended producer responsibility.

Taught by experienced instructors, including successful business owners and industry experts, our classes are tailored to fit entrepreneurs in any stage of the business development process. The Cal State East Bay Small Business Development Center also partners with leading organizations, including SCORE and the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, to offer specialized classes and programs.

Dominican University of California’s MBA in Sustainable Enterprise is an engaging learning community where people with strong environmental and social values develop effective leadership capacities to advance economically successful, ecologically restorative, and socially just initiatives in any type of organization.

Environmental Defense Fund is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the environmental rights of all people, including future generations. Among these rights are access to clean air and water, healthy and nourishing food, and flourishing ecosystems. Guided by science, Environmental Defense Fund evaluates environmental problems and works to create and advocate solutions that win lasting political, economic and social support because they are nonpartisan, cost-efficient and fair.

Greenhouse Gas Management Institutewas founded as a nonprofit organization in 2007 to train and support a global community of qualified professionals to work on GHG measurement, accounting, auditing and management. Their mission is to address climate change by building and supporting a global community of experts with the highest standards of professional practice in measuring, accounting, auditing and managing greenhouse gas emissions; meeting the needs of governments, corporations and organizations large and small.

North Bay Leadership Council is dedicated to achieving the long-term economic sustainability and quality of life in the North Bay by collaborating with other business and civic leaders to promote sound, regionally-focused public policy.

Net Impact is an international nonprofit organization with a mission to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.

SF Environment is charged with managing all SF city and county environmental initiatives.  It is the mission of SF Environment to improve, enhance, and preserve the environment, and to promote San Francisco's long-term well-being by developing innovative, practical and wide-ranging environmental programs in recycling, toxics reduction, environmental justice, energy efficiency, climate change, commute alternatives and urban forest.

SPUR promotes good planning and good government in the San Francisco Bay Area, through research, education and advocacy.  Founded in 1959 to fight for the revitalization of San Francisco as the Bay Area's central city, SPUR was given the charge of channeling growth away from suburban sprawl and back into the urban core. Throughout the 1960s, SPUR worked to build support for the land use, transportation and investment strategies that could support center-oriented growth and urban economic vitality. Since then, SPUR has been involved with virtually every major planning decision in the city.

Within this context, the Agency is committed to achieving a 75% and beyond diversion goal and promoting sustainable consumption and disposal patterns.

Sustainable Industries is an independent media company that produces an online news web site, an award-winning bimonthly magazine, industry newsletters, a Webinar and podcast series, and the Sustainable Industries Economic Forums. The United Nations Global Compact Cities Programme is designed to advance urban engagement in the UN Global Compact and provide support to city leaders in demonstrating this commitment. It is founded on project-based learning and offers business, government and community leader opportunity to apply the overarching 10 Principles of the Global Compact. The inter-sectoral collaboration together with research-based management tools provide a unique approach for the city leader to approach seemingly intractable issues.
