On January 10, BC3 hosted the second meeting of its new "Breakfast Briefings with the City" series for Climate Leadership Circle members, prospects, and sponsors. Breakfast attendees included sustainability directors at the largest local companies. At the meeting, General Manager Harlan Kelly spoke to participants about the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents to the SFPUC in their delivery of water, wastewater services, and power. General Manager Kelly covered topics ranging from rebates that the SFPUC provides for water efficiency upgrades, water recycling projects, and the agency's role in the formation of the Water Utility Climate Alliance. The briefing also included a tour of the SFPUC's new headquarters, which is pending LEED platinum certification.
