BC3 led an effort in partnership with the City of San Francisco and Wells Fargo to explore the feasibility of launching a local Climate Investment Hub
This guide and accompanying toolkit was developed by the Business Council on Climate Change in collaboration with Carbon180, Anthesis, Atlassian and Autodesk. It is intended to help companies and organizations make sense of the dynamic carbon removals market, and start thinking about how to craft a carbon removal commitment.
While we will not be pursuing a local climate investment hub at this time, this process has revealed findings that may be useful to future efforts. We prepared a final report on the initiative, which provides details on the proposals that stakeholders supported and the local stakeholders and resources that a future effort could draw upon. We have also attached a shorter “summary of findings” document.
BC3 will look for opportunities to bring interested stakeholders together in 2021. Funding critical climate mitigation and resilience projects is a high priority as we work toward an equitable and sustainable recovery in the Bay Area.
