Her desire to make direct, local impact, her eye for operational efficiency, and her love of data found her making the transition to the nonprofit space in 2014 (GRID Alternatives), and she has not looked back. Liz is excited to be a part of BC3 as the Operations Director. She holds a master’s degree in writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Liz lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and son, and loves to spend the weekends exploring nearby trails.

Before joining BC3, Lauren spent over a decade working in marketing and brand communications, bringing with her experience working in both the startup and corporate worlds. Her love and connection with the outdoors and concerns about our impact on the environment led her to change paths and start pursuing purpose-driven work. Lauren's passion for the environment and tackling climate change issues developed when she began volunteering at the Oakland Zoo.
