Prior to joining BC3, Maura worked for 8 years leading Corporate Partnerships for GRID Alternatives - the nation's largest nonprofit solar installer. Maura has spent more than 18 years working at the intersection of energy, environment, technology and social change. She has worked in B2B sales in the IT industry, was a biologist for the National Park Service, was an independent entrepreneur, and contracted with non-profits to help them build capacity. She holds a B.S. from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Conservation and an M.S. in Wildlife Biology from Humboldt State.
Climate Programs Director
Lia has over 10 years of experience mobilizing job trainees, corporate employees and volunteers to take positive action through service-learning activities. She believes with the right tools and motivation, people can be inspired to tackle any challenge. Lia is excited to work with BC3 partners to engage employees in the most pressing challenge of our time, climate change action. Prior to this role, she worked in nonprofit program development and management. She holds a M.Sc. in Sustainable Development from the University of Surrey in England.
Liz's passion for outdoor recreation and concerns over the changing climate brought her to the renewable energy workforce nearly a decade ago (Sunrun). Her desire to make direct, local impact, her eye for operational efficiency, and her love of data found her making the transition to the nonprofit space in 2014 (GRID Alternatives), and she has not looked back. Liz is excited to be a part of BC3 as the Operations Director. She holds a master’s degree in writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Liz lives in Boulder, Colorado with her husband and son, and loves to spend the weekends exploring nearby trails.
Maggie is the Program Coordinator for Bay Area SunShares. She is excited to work on building community and catalyzing climate action in the Bay Area. Prior to joining BC3 Maggie worked as a researcher and writer, studying the impact of California youth environmental justice organizers as well as writing climate action guides for community groups. Maggie has also worked as an English teacher at a technical college in Santiago de Chile. She holds a dual B.A. in Anthropology and Fine Arts from UCLA.
Program Development Strategist
Seth has five years experience creating meaningful engagement around climate action. Prior to joining BC3, Seth created the sustainable ambassadors program for his alma mater, developed a service-learning framework for GRID Alternatives, and reported on climate communications for Climate Access. He has also worked in neuropsychology research, taught English in France, and worked in wilderness therapy. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from McGill University and a P.S.M. in Climate Science and Solutions from Northern Arizona University.
Grace is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Environmental Policy and Food Systems. She is familiar with the environmental and climate issues associated with agriculture and is passionate about food security. Grace has worked with the Berkeley Student Food Collective for 3 years where she learned how to think critically about sustainability in her community as well as advocate for wider availability of healthy, organic, locally grown produce in the Bay Area. She is happy to be part of the BC3 team and further support members in implementing solutions to achieve a low-carbon, equitable and resilient economy for future generations.
